About me

I'm CC Carroll. This site is named for my husband, Julio.

He was a good man. That's the whole reason the site carries his name.

Before he passed away, he was going to start a business of his own, and it came down to two choices: a food truck, or a mobile detailing company. He never got either one off the ground. He died before he could get it started.

Here's the honest part. This isn't a hobby I picked up. If he had been successful with the food truck he could have had — if he'd still been here to run it — this is exactly what I'd be doing anyway. Standing between a good truck and the folks who don't know it's there yet, trying to make it easier for them to get to him. That's the job. I'm just doing it for every truck now instead of one.

I'm not a truck owner and I'm not in the food business. I'm a widow with a computer and a name I wanted to see mean something.

So the site works like this: a hungry person types in their ZIP code and sees the food trucks near them, closest first, with how many miles away each one is, so they know how far they're driving before they leave the house. Truck owners fill in their own booths — truck name, menu, weekly stops, a photo, catering info. Nobody writes their words for them, and nothing goes live until the membership is paid. I check it myself.

The first fourteen trucks are founding members at $9.99 a month, with two months free after every ten paid months, for as long as they stay. After that it's $14.99 a month.

Every truck that joins makes the directory better for the next town over. That's the kind of thing Julio would have liked.

Got a truck?

Hungry folks search their ZIP code and find you, closest first. You keep your own booth up to date.
